Before I became a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), I was a preschool teacher for seven years. During this time I developed a passion for outdoor learning and for enhancing communication through social play. I employ both of these passions in my work as an SLP, and I have a lot to share!
I have also worked with special needs populations and children, adolescents and adults with developmental and intellectual disability. I have developed much admiration for these populations in my work as a teacher, researcher and clinician.
I currently work in the area of Early Intervention. I love this age group dearly. I have lots of tips, tricks, activities and materials for increasing communication, introducing social play constructs, and enhancing both home and classroom learning. Check out this area for blog posts and free printables!
